four till now...

The only thing i've learnt from the 4 campus drives I went through till now, always take a pair of extra socks with you if you don't want your socks to smell as if a pig farted in your shoes, suffering from constipation since he ate rotten eggs with garlic and onion last week. Waiting for the entire day process till late night and being left only with such a pair of socks diffuses a higher level of disappointment. Being rejected in the last phase or in the easier round feels like loosing the Olympic gold medal by a nanosecond. Anyways all these recent happenings have added to my endurance and my belief that its not your knowledge neither good communication skills and nor the God who can make it. But its a complex hormonal and neural signals in the head of the interviewer which is difficult to decipher and nearly impossible when you are seated on an itchy neelkamal chair with a person who is as lofty as a drunk after reading ' Business at the speed of thought'. I suppose with all this I am not sounding as, 'I am the most eligible Employable person in town', but this is my personal opinion about the campus placements.

Some of my friends implicated a bucket full of flaws in me for my rejections at various level , but I think this is one of the happenings under the sun that don't have a reason. At the end of the day if you got selected, it was your day and if u didn't, wait for yours, thats it. Its beyond the limits of human kind to comprehend a counterpart in just a fraction of hour. Just ask any interviewer will he be able to decide his life partner, if he is obliged to decide it in just a single one hour meeting, if he say 'yes' he is the biggest liar and the best HR you will ever get to meet. The people who answer NO , are the ones who are most loyal to their life but not to their job, and they can't be. Thus never blame your failures to yourself, your abilities, the books and notes that you didn't revised last night and nor the God. Its the belongingness of the day to you.

PS: The moment you feel that he is going to reject you , just open your shoes and poke your socks to his nose...i am sure he is gonna select you for the sake of his life.

weak values.....

Lost the chance of getting in INFOSYS " my dream company", was out in the written test itself and with this the life of an incubated wish has come to an end. The day on which I got rejected by satyam computers due to there own failure of a proper interviewing policy, I promised to myself "I'll starve and die but never even enter its premises" and today when I've been rejected in infosys, I pledge "I won't retire of my work until I enter its premises". although its one of the biggest setback of my career but I 'll divert the impulse of this disappointment to appointment letter of infosys someday, and now I wish this someday comes soon.

The failure in infosys written test is not entirely my failure but somewhere down the line the failure of the ethics and values the company beams about. I don't think my english and logic to be worse than those who passed the test just because they(students of host college) could get the answers of the questions in the exam room on their cell phones. The unfair means adopted by the host college lead to an extremely higher cut-off marks. I very well understand that everybody who got cleared din't get those sms, but they were the few who are either born genius capable of coping up every malice practice against them or those who had their best stars and planets leading their way, but I m not that intelligent nor I am blessed with such a good fortune. The only thing I prepared for the infosys test was under normal circumstances having a fair and balanced deal, I've never been a follower of the book "101 ways to cheat and pass", neither I wish to buy it. With the whole process at its end , all I've in my eyes is tears and a hope that the next time when I meet infosys it comes by its tag line "powered by intellect and driven by values", especially the 'values'.

disappointed but still i'll fight !!

Got rejected in the interview of satyam computers after clearing the written...the technical interview lasted 2 min in which I answered all the questions asked, after this i was sent to HR which was of 28 sec....(I guess they were having some kind of a hurry, may be constipation problem...god knows)... this short span of HR speculated a thought of being rejected in my mind, but even moth hopes to gulp flames someday, so waited entire day for the results just not to find my name in the results...disappointed, but satyam is not my life n neither was the last opportunity for me , i am very thankful to satyam computers for one reason, i have never been a sports freak but for the first time in my life i experienced, how does it feels to lose the final match, even if you played the best game of your life. you joke, you smile, you laugh but deep down your soul is trying to recollect all the pieces of shattered dreams to carve a masterpiece, to which it fails by the impulse of reality. Anyways I know, i will make it and at a better place and ,this is not a belief, nor a hope , nor a dream , nor a prediction, but this is my determination.

These are the most motivating lines I've ever read. whenever i feel defeated I follow these beautiful prose.

Asaflta ek chunauti hai, ise sweekar karo,
kya kami reh gayi, dekho aur sudhar karo.

Jab tak na safal ho, neend chain ko tyago tum,
Sangharsh ka maidan chhodkar mat bhago tum.
Kuch kiye bina hi jai jaikar nahin hoti,
koshish karne walon ki haar nahin hoti.

Taare zameen pe!!

I wish all these 'stars' could be uplifted from the grimy surfaces they have fallen on.....

saw the latest aamir khan's "Taare Zameen Par". I am quite sure that even the arid tear glands will get dampen on watching this..... the celluloid flicks with the scene of a poor child wiping off the table nearly clotted every drop of blood in my veins.

As the year is about to end we can enlist an endless series of achievements India has brought home this year , the magazines and newspapers flaunting about the sensex breaking its own record the very next day itself, growth rate beyond 9%, Rupee flexing its muscles against dollar, Indian cricket team winning world cup, the multi billion dollar acquisitions corporate India made this year ...............but at the end of the year we still have not been able to acquire over child labor, we couldn't merge the gentle hands of these kids with pen, we couldn't break the heart breaking poor conditions of these children. A big construction giant proudly announced about the largest ever IPO in the history of India it made. I wish we could even have an IPO for the most important infrastructure, which is collapsing, at the behest of our very own society. With the assassination of innocent-childhood still carried on, I don't think the year that past was any happier or the next year ought to be prosperous.

Exams over..!!

The exams are over now and am feeling like a new born baby who has nothing to do than sleep or look for those tasty gray coloured pebbles around to swallow, the mind feels like kelvinator the coolest one!!! But this bloody time is the biggest daemon, it never withstands your happiness and kicks you when you are about to taste that very favourite rare kind of gray stone you excavated out of the road just now...wish I could find one which could be clung into the watch of time, and have my piece of break.

as our fifth sem gets over, me and my batch-mates are about to appear the only exams that students always wish to appear...the campus selections. yes the bugle has been blown and the first company is set to visit by 20th of Jan..that's right under the nose. so its not gonna be any relax kind of vac after sems....the time is on its ever fastest roll and still I haven't started with the preparations except scripting my CV and arranging the marks sheets in the folder. I wish that I don't have to carry it many a times to the college...wish me luck guys...need it badly !!

The BIG P !!

I was going through archives of my chats and mails in my accounts, which shot me to those lovely reminiscence....most of the mails were from the one and only intelligent dumbo on Earth...although I am very dreadful to write this post but somehow gathered enough courage to go with this brave act...the moment she reads all this I am as dead as a chick in tandoori chicken !!

At times if I sound philosophical or weird and you feel that....'this guy is sounding like Navjot siddhu in his pink tie and shorts , who has just realized that freedom of speech is our constitutional right and is using it to its worst '. Then better leave...Its not for you , but for the someone who is the subject of this post, someone who is very fond of spicy noodles, John Abraham, purple colour and tragic songs, someone who has more testimonials on her orkut than scraps, the someone who is a living wikipedia on C/C++ with short height, spects, and a cute giggling sound that can leave you dead...mhh mhh mhh (it more of sounds like hiccups at fast pace ) !!! she is or perhaps has been my best friend, I decided to dedicate few kilobytes of my blog to her and my friendship with her, so let me introduce you to the protagonist of this post...."The BIG P"...as she likes her to be called with....but I call her "GADHI".

This was my first venture in friendship...I don't even remember since when did she become my friend, I guess even much before I learnt to spell 'friend'. In one phrase she is the definition for 'friendship' to me. The story begins when we were in pre school classes sitting on same bench appearing for a class test, my dearest friend started to write with the worst fonts possible by hands , as she first wrote 'P' on the top of her answer sheet, I simply copied the same on my sheet, soon she wrote 'A' so did I, then 'L', 'L', 'A', 'V', I' followed, me too copied the entire set of characters in extra large fonts that we used in the darkest shades of gray possible by pencil, It was not very late that I realised its her name...."oh shit....that means my name gotta be there", I was intelligent enough to erase it and write my name instead, there after I followed her scribbling for the rest of the test :) !! I know you all would appreciate my height of intelligence and presence of mind but that was all I had in those days, anyways that was the time of pre schools...and by now I believe my brain muscles have developed a lot more than her's....isn't it pallavi !!

I remember her mom used to come with her blank copies to my home to get her incomplete work done but all she could get was another blank copy...."pal ishme meli koi galti nahi thi, muje toh naa yeh gadhi likhne hee ni detee ti aul naa khud liktee ti....". is ladki ne meri aisi aadat bigaadi ki aaj tak koi copy complete nahi rakh pata...no matter how hard I try....then there was a time when our class sections got changed and don't know for what the hell reason we became aliens to each other...I guess the ego or the fear of becoming the subject of those teen years gossip chit chats among class mates kept us like strangers for about 9 yrs, In midst of this long gap I tried to speak to her on many occasions but every time I failed. Finally one day in class 11, I broke the silence by asking for her assignment copy to complete mine....n this time she had an up to date assignments...the only common thing was her handwriting that was the same as in kindergarten like a chhipkali with ink dipped feet allowed to run through all the pages, who would like to copy the notes from a notebook written in chinese but for the sake of a last call to my lost friendship I tried it...finally I was glad to find that nothing had changed neither she nor our friendship...after this was the time when I got to realize that "yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai, Yeh na ho to kya fir, bolo yeh zindagi hai, Koi to ho raazdaar, begaraz tera ho yaar....".

we are still very good friends but somewhere deep down the bonds have become weaker...from my end I guess I've lost my dumbo again but she denies it...I believe that friendship is like the relation between hand and eyes, when the hand gets hurt the eyes cry and when eyes cry the hand wipes, our friendship has been a fluctuation between and sometimes beyond crests & troughs of altercations and harmony...many a times I feel as if the eyes are crying but there are no hands to wipe....miss you dear...wish I could return to the same KG classes where there was no tension of assignments, no tiffs, no egos, no worries of class tests(at least for me) and sit beside my intelligent dumbo !!!

is this engineering !!

its 5'o clock morning....was studying control system my next paper now its on day after today so what would an engineer do after reading a book on some crap subject known as control engineering after which he has lost the control on himself...yes he will abuse the people responsible for his predicament on his blog. First of all can anybody justify me what the f..k an electronics n comm. engg. student has to do by knowing "why can't we use petrol in diesel engines?"... are me bolta hoon tu toh ghaaslate daal de isme mere sasur ka kya jaa raha hai. I am really gonna kick that uncle who thinks us as idiots who will go to a fuel pump asking to fill their bike with diesel. Even the girls who give right indicator and turn to left know that scooty pep runs on petrol. (disclaimer: this is not a generalised concensus, so plz girls don't take it as an offence to the intelligence of womenhood and start a nari aandolan against me). I think it could have been more precise to its respective streams...like there is no need for a sanitation engineer to know how the hell a bulb glows in the toilet, let him be acquainted with flush and commodes.
The best part of doing BE(don't knnow abt other courses) is that you learn to be awakened for the entire night reading something as worse as a book by Michael Jackson on Caring Children. I have been suffering from night-insomnia since I joined the college, but in all its a fun to be a part of BE.
